Hello

My name is Sean Moran. I am currently studying Music Technology at Wells Cathedral Music School. I aspire to take my passion for songwriting and music production to a professional level, and eventually perform my original songs live.

Background

I was born in England and raised in the Cayman Islands. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 7, and quickly my parents realised I was learning much faster than expected. I started writing songs from the age of 12. At 13, I wrote and recorded a song during covid to encourage Caymanians to stay indoors, which was played on the national radio station. At the age of 14, I won the Cayman Islands Young Musician Of The Year award, with my performance of "Asturias" by Isaac Albeniz. I kept playing classical until the age of 16, when I decided to focus more on improving my electric guitar skills. The same year I recorded a cover of 'creep' and posted it on youtube. The Wells Cathedral School Music Tech department acknowledged this and offered me a place at the school to study music production in a proper studio environment. I am now actively looking for work experience in the songwriting and production industry, hoping to learn from industry professionals, and collaborate with fellow musicians.
